AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference has named University of North Georgia women's golfers
Maddie Ananthasane and
Amari Smith to their respective All-Conference teams marking just the second time in program history that the Nighthawks have received multiple All-Conference selections in the same season.
Ananthasane earned the third consecutive first-team All-Conference selection of her career, also winning the Player of the Year award last season. Ananthasane shined in each of her tournament appearances, finishing in the top ten in every tournament and top five in two of them.
Smith earns second-team All-Conference honors, finishing the regular season with the seventh-best average score (76.2) this season. Smith was a staple near the top of the leaderboard for North Georgia, leading the Nighthawks to a runner-up finish in the Bracket Challenge and helping the team close out the regular season with four straight top-six finishes.
Smith becomes the sixth North Georgia women's golfer to earn PBC All-Conference honors in her lone season in Dahlonega, while Ananthasane adds to an already illustrious list of career awards.
