COLUMBUS, Ga. - Columbus State shot 51.5 percent from the floor, including 60 percent from deep, as the Cougars defeated the University of North Georgia men's basketball team, 93-62, Wednesday night in an empty Lumpkin Center.
After both teams traded buckets early on, CSU went on a 9-0 run to take a 17-9 lead, a lead they would never relinquish. The Cougars would go on another run, this time an 18-3 run that spanned nearly seven minutes near the end of the half on their way to a 46-20 halftime lead.
The Cougars were even hotter from the floor in the second half, making 9-of-14 shots from behind the arc after a 6-for-11 performance from distance in the first 20 minutes as CSU snapped a two game losing skid.

Zach Brown led the way for the Nighthawks with 17 points on 5-for-9 shooting. He made 7-of-10 free throws as well.
- CSU outrebounded North Georgia, 47-26, including 12-5 on the offensive glass.
- Seven Cougars finished in double figures, led by Davion Thomas's 13 points. Anthony Moore finished with a double-double of 11 points and 11 boards.
