PEMBROKE, N.C. - A hot shooting second half for No. 15 UNC Pembroke pushed the top-seeded Braves past the University of North Georgia men's basketball team, 90-62, Wednesday night in the Peach Betl Conference Tournament quarterfinals.
The Nighthawks hung tight with UNCP in the first half, tying the game up at 20-20 with just under seven minutes to play until halftime before the Braves finished the half on a 13-7 run to take a six point lead into intermission.
From there, the Braves got hot from the floor, hitting 12-of-20 three pointers in the second half to pull away and advance on in the conference tournament.

- In his final game as a Nighthawk,
Ephraim Tshimanga led the way with 15 points and eight boards. He also got a steal, finishing his career with 261 steals.

KJ Jenkins finished his freshman campaign with 11 points in 21 minutes off the bench.
- The Braves pulled down 21 offensive rebounds but only got 18 second-chance points.
- The Nighthawks finish the season at 14-15, making their third PBC Tournament in the last four years.
