DAHLONEGA - Josh Cottrell and
Zez Steeple each scored 17 points to lead all scorers as the University of North Georgia men's basketball team defeated Georgia College, 90-80, to get back to .500 overall Saturday afternoon.
Georgia College took an early lead and stretched their lead to 10-6 before North Georgia went on a 9-0 run to take the lead for good. The Nighthawks got the lead out to 69-43 with 7:30 to play before the Bobcats started scoring from beyond the arc.
The Bobcats went 8-for-12 from beyond the arc in the final 7:30 of the game, cutting the lead to as few as eight, but UNG had enough answers down the stretch to finish the game with the 10-point advantage.

Ephraim Tshimanga finished a rebound short of a triple-double, putting 11 points with 12 assists.
Zach Brown was a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor as he put up 14 points.
- North Georgia shot nearly 52 percent from the floor and held Georgia College to just 38 percent shooting.
- The Nighthawks had a +17 rebound margin.
Carrod Watson led all rebounders with 11 boards.
