DAHLONEGA - After a quick sweep of doubles, the University of North Georgia men's tennis team went on to sweep singles as well as they shot past Belmont Abbey, 7-0, Tuesday afternoon at the UNG Tennis Complex at Yahoola Creek.
The Nighthawks pushed through the doubles portion of the match, dropping just four games in the three matches combined, including a 6-0 shutout at No. 2 doubles by
Ryan Gaskin and
Hugues Renaud.
Once into singles, UNG continued to show their dominance of the match, winning all six in straight sets. The match was clinched when Renaud defeated his opponent at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
The Nighthawks will travel to Columbus, Georgia, this weekend to battle Saint Leo in non-conference action. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
