PEMBROKE, N.C. - Despite 10 different Nighthawks ending in the scoring column, the University of North Georgia men's basketball team fell to UNC Pembroke Saturday afternoon, 76-46, in Peach Belt Conference action.
The Braves led the entirety of the contest, but North Georgia was in the game midway through the first half, trailing by three, 14-11, after a
Mekhail Bethea three pointer. UNCP answered with a 12-0 run that stretched the lead to double figures.
North Georgia cut the lead to as few as 13 in the second half, but big runs by UNC Pembroke were the difference down the stretch as the Braves earned the league win.

Ephraim Tshimanga led UNG with 10 points, while
KJ Jenkins finished with nine. Bethea added eight.
- UNCP scored 21 points off 17 Nighthawk turnovers. The Braves also outrebounded UNG, 47-28.
- The Nighthawks made just three of their 21 attempts from beyond the arc.
