DAHLONEGA — The offense was red hot as the University of North Georgia baseball team continued their four-game winning streak after a 19-0 blowout against Emmanuel Wednesday night at Bob Stein Stadium.
A solo homerun from
Nick Clarno in the second put the Nighthawks on the board first, followed by a RBI double from
Steven Tomlinson. UNG put runs on the board in every inning except for two, but bats exploded in the third and sixth frames with five runs each.
In the third,
William Mapes put up a two-RBI single past the shortstop to bring home
Conner Corbitt and
Nick Clarno.
Jake Arnold's three-run homer over left solidified the lead for the Nighthawks, 7-0.
The sixth saw another hot offensive performance. UNG continued to take advantage of the Emmanuel pitching staff, forcing two pitching changes in the frame and lacing together more runs. Another three-run homer from
Andres Perez extended the Nighthawk lead to 15-0.
Mapes's two-RBI single in the eighth gave UNG the 19-0 win over the Lions, the highest they have scored all season. This win puts the Nighthawk record at 8-8 overall.

- Perez went 2-for-5 with a double, a homerun, and four RBI. Mapes went 3-for-4 with three singles and four RBI, while Tomlinson went three-for-three with a double, two singles, and one RBI.
