DAHLONEGA - Ebo Smith drained his fourth three pointer of the night with 1.5 seconds left to give the University of North Georgia men's basketball team an 85-83 win over Columbus State Wednesday night in Memorial Hall. The win snapped a three-game skid for UNG and puts the Nighthawks in a tie for fifth in the Peach Belt Conference.
The two teams went back and forth during the first 15 minutes of the game with neither team leading by more than five points during the first portion of the game. The Cougars stretched their lead to six right before halftime and earned a 10-point lead in the first minute of the second half.
CSU had a nine-point lead with 5:26 left before the Nighthawks started their game-ending run. UNG finished on a 19-9 run capped by Smith's three from the corner off a no-look pass from
Charles Perry to win the game.

Shaquan Cantrell led all scorers with 23 points. Smith finished with 16, while
Lanre Olatunji finished one point short of a double-double, pulling down 10 rebounds to go with nine points.
- The Nighthawks never led by more than five points in the game.
