DAHLONEGA - Ebo Smith hit five three pointers as the University of North Georgia men's basketball team got back on the winning side, defeating Georgia College, 78-72, Saturday in Memorial Hall. The Nighthawks get back to .500 on the season with the win.
North Georgia led from the jump after
Bennett Fuzak hit a three-point basket just seven seconds into the game. North Georgia led by as many as 11, but the Bobcats trimmed the lead down to as few as one point in the second half before UNG pulled away for the six-point win.
NOTES
- Smith finished with 21 points, his fourth 20-point game of the season. Fuzak added 15 points, while
Charles Perry had a 12-point night off the bench.
- North Georgia hit 14 three-pointers, marking a new season-high. The Nighthawks hit 13 threes against Augusta one week ago.
- UNG has now won 11 of the last 13 matchups against the Bobcats, including six of the past seven in Dahlonega.
