DAHLONEGA | The University of North Georgia tennis team literally breezed past Clayton State, 8-1, on a blustery Saturday afternoon at the UNG Tennis Complex at Yahoola Creek Park. The Nighthawks improve to 14-6 overall and an even 4-4 in conference play.
After dropping the top doubles line, North Georgia rebounded to sweep the remaining eight matches for their 14
th win of the year.
The 14 wins improves upon the new program record for single season victories.
North Georgia has now won three consecutive over the Lakers. Clayton State falls to 5-11, 2-7 PBC.
UNG returns to the courts on short rest with another PBC home match against Montevallo tomorrow (Apr. 10) with first serves scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
