Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Patriots Outlast Nighthawks, 90-81

FLORENCE, S.C. | Four University of North Georgia starters scored double digits but it was not enough to lift the UNG men's basketball team to victory over Francis Marion as the Nighthawks fell to the Patriots, 90-81, Monday afternoon at the Smith Center.
 
The game remained close throughout the first half until Francis Marion ended the first period of play on a 9-2 run to take a 51-39 lead into intermission. UNG outscored the Patriots 42-39 in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome the halftime deficit.
 
NOTES
- Two Nighthawks earned double-doubles on the day with Sean Brennan pulling in 17 points with 10 assists, while Juan Rivas scored 16 with 10 rebounds. Brennan's 17 led UNG on the day.
 
- Tanner Plemmons and T.J. Williams both scored in double figures with 14 points each.
 
- Detrek Browning led the way for Francis Marion with 20 points.
 
- North Georgia's skid moves to six games as the Nighthawks are now 4-14 with a 2-7 mark in league play.
