How Hubbard got to UNG
Bryce Hubbard arrives on campus at UNG this season after a very prolific career at Callaway High School. The infielder hit for a .400 batting average or better in each of his junior and senior seasons with the Cavaliers. As a senior, he hit one home run, 12 doubles and a triple to total 30 RBI in 29 games. The lefty hitter slashed a whopping .400/.535/.640 in his senior season. Hubbard shined at the plate and on the bump in his high school career. He holds a career 1.81 earned run average as a pitcher and had a 1.26 ERA with 78 strikeouts and only 19 walks over 55.2 innings during his senior campaign. That season, he led his team to a 22-8 record and an appearance in the state quarterfinals. He was rated by Perfect Game as one of the top 500 recruits nationally and one of the top 150 high school players in the state of Georgia.
