How Brown got to UNG
Avery Brown will suit up in a Nighthawk uniform this season after spending the last two years at NCAA Division I North Alabama. The right-handed dealing Brown only appeared in 5.2 innings as a freshman with the Lions in 2023. Last year he allowed a lone run in his single inning of work for UNA. Brown, a native of Grantville, Ga. and graduate of East Coweta High School, was originally recruited by the Nighthawk coaching staff out of high school. He reconnected with the coaches after deciding to transfer from UNA and said he "loved the vision [the coaches] had for me and the program"
