NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) has announced the teams selected for their GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 season. The University of North Georgia men's golf team was selected for the honor, becoming eligible by having a 3.0 or higher team GPA.
This will mark the fourth consecutive year the Nighthawks were chosen for the award, with UNG men's golf having multiple players selected as All-America Scholars in each of those four seasons, as
Noah Zediker and
Stephen Kinsel were chosen as All-America Scholars this season.
Sacred Heart (NCAA Division I), Florida Southern (NCAA Division II), Kentucky State (HBCU), Carleton (NCAA Division III), South Carolina Beaufort (NAIA), Andrew (NJCAA Division I), and South Mountain (NJCAA Division II) were all named 2022-23 Academic National Champions for finishing with the top GPA in their respective divisions.
266 schools across six divisions earned a GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Award.
