JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Georgia women's track & field team finished their two-day stay at the River City Relays hosted by North Florida.
Karmen LeRoy and
Ella Stoudenmire finished with high marks in the 10000 and 800-meter run, with multiple Nighthawks placing in the top tier of finishers in the steeplechase and the 1500-meter run.
Anna Chasteen finished first in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:10.59, adding a third-place finish in the steeplechase after recording a time of 11:51.28. In the 1500-meter run,
Ashley Pope (3rd) and
Sydney Bolyard (5th) rounded out the Nighthawks to finish in the top five. Bolyard followed right behind Chasteen in the steeplechase as she and
Devin Helms finished in fourth and fifth with times of 12:13.24 and 12:23.40.
Stoudenmire finished in sixth in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:15.96, while LeRoy finished in eighth in the 10000-meter after finishing with a time of 37:38.83, breaking her own school record that she previously broke at last season's PBC Championship.

The Nighthawks will run in the Lee Invitational on Saturday (Mar. 25) in Cleveland, Tenn. The event marks the halfway point in the regular season for the Nighthawks, who will participate in two straight meets hosted by Lee, with the Nighthawks running in the Flames Invitational on Apr. 6-8.
