TOCCOA, Ga. — Picking up its third win in five fall events, the No. 1 University of North Georgia men's golf team won the McCoy-Wright Currahee Invitational at the Currahee Golf Course, shooting as a team ten strokes under-par and winning the event by five strokes.
Noah Zediker took home individual medalist honors, winning by one stroke after shooting three-under in the final round, settling in for four birdies and no bogeys. Zediker sustained consistent excellence for all three rounds, shooting a 68 and 69 in the first and third rounds, with his final round of the tournament being a solid two-under-par effort in the second round.
Next for North Georgia and not far down the leaderboard came
Stephen Kinsel, picking up a third-place finish after a four-under-par 68 to finish the tournament at six-under-par. Kinsel's third round 68 was one of the best rounds of the tournament, moving him up one spot in the final round.
Jack Vajda grabbed a third top-ten finish for the Nighthawks, settling into a tie for seventh after finishing the way he started with a one-over-par 73 in both the first and third rounds.

Hughes Threlkeld finalized the North Georgia golfers in the event, as Day grabbed a share of a spot in 30th, finishing at seven-over-par for the tournament, while Threlkeld tied for 38th after a ten-over-par overall scorecard.
The top-ranked Nighthawks beat out third-ranked Lincoln Memorial to capture their third tournament victory, with Barton, Wingate and USC Beaufort following to round out the top-five team finishes. LMU's Alex James finished in second behind Zediker, sandwiched between a pair of Nighthawks in first and third place.
