Established in 2010, the Athletics Hall of Fame honors individuals or teams that have earned outstanding athletic achievement or made substantial contributions to the university. A nine-member board of directors is responsible for operations of the Athletics Hall of Fame and serves as selectors for all honorees, based upon nominations.
Nomination for Athletic Performance:
• A nominee must be a graduate of North Georgia or have played at least two years.
• Eligibility for selection begins in the fifth year after the nominee’s university athletic career has ended.
• A nominee must have been an outstanding performer in his/her field of competition.
• A nominee must have been recognized locally, regionally or nationally.
• Entire teams or units may be nominated based upon local, regional or national recognition or otherwise exceptional achievement. The induction of a team shall not prohibit the separate induction of team members.
Nomination for Coaching/Administration:
• A nominee must have demonstrated outstanding coaching or administrative achievement at North Georgia for at least five years.
• A nominee must have been recognized locally, regionally or nationally.
• A nominee must have demonstrated outstanding coaching achievement at another institution for at least five years.
Nomination for Meritorious Service to the athletic program of North Georgia:
• The nominee must have made a significant impact upon the Athletics program through distinguished service. Significant impact may be in
service, monetary or in kind support.
