How Varga got to UNG
A native of Pécs, Hungary, Janos Varga traveled 5,062 miles to his new home of Dahlonega, Ga. to join the Nighthawk men's tennis program in 2024. Varga attended Pécsi Leowey Klára Gimnázium, a grammar school in his hometown of Pécs prior to UNG. He came to Dahlonega with an outstanding winning pedigree from his time in Hungary and in International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior competitions. Varga is a two-time Hungarian National Champion with a doubles title coming in 2021 followed by a singles title in 2022. He also has a pair of doubles titles in the ITF Junior stages winning the J30 Pecs and J60 Pecs Titles in the Hotel Makar Open.
