OXFORD, Miss. - A week after breaking the team's smallbore and aggregate totals, the No. 20 University of North Georgia rifle team broke the records again Saturday at the Ole Miss Invitational. The Nighthawks currently sit in second place behind No. 17 Morehead State by just three points through the first day of the event.

The remaining nine teams in the event will shoot over the course of the next week with the final day of shooting taking place on October 8.

North Georgia went 10 points higher than the school record in smallbore, posting a 2301, and broke the aggregate record by 14 points at 4622. The Nighthawks also had five shooters overtake their personal records, including Ricky Medina setting both air rifle and smallbore personal marks.

Dakota Spivey and Tobin Sanctuary came within points of tying the individual smallbore record in the meet, scoring personal bests of 582 and 580, respectively.

The Nighthawks will have a quick turnaround as they travel up to the University of Memphis to shoot in the Memphis Tiger Invitational tomorrow.
