GREENWOOD, S.C. — For the third time in her three-year career at the University of North Georgia, Nighthawk senior
Kelsey Hutchins has been named to the Peach Belt All-Conference team by the league's coaches. Hutchins was selected to the First Team, marking the second consecutive season she's been tabbed one of the conference's five best players.
The Lawrenceville native finished her career as a Nighthawk with 1,425 points, 606 rebounds, 102 assists, 90 steals, and 68 blocks. She shot an impressive 80 percent from the free throw line in her three seasons in Dahlonega. Hutchins scored 472 points this season, averaging 16.9 per game while also pulling down over seven rebounds per contest.
Hutchins posted a double-double in 17 games in her North Georgia career, including six this season. The senior forward had an incredible streak of scoring in double figures in 46 consecutive games that was snapped in February. In all, Hutchins scored in double figures in 76 of her 87 games as a Nighthawk.
Making her on court numbers seem even more impressive, Hutchins has been named to the PBC All-Academic Team each of the last two seasons and was honored with the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award in her junior season.
